Netbook Installer 0.8.5pre Released

Developer Meklort has announced the release of NetbookInstaller 0.8.5 Preview on his blog, which is the first public release of the combined application which sees the merging of the previously separate NetbookInstaller and NetbookBootMaker apps which are key to the easy installation of Mac OS X on netbooks.

Note that this is a preview release and is only really suitable for those that want to pioneer and provide feedback to Meklort. It’s highly likely that this will break parts of your Mac OS X installation so handle with care – if you’re feeling brave you can download NetbookInstaller 0.8.5pre here.

Hey,

Love the site, but how about expanding it with 12″ laptops, they are “the next best thing” after netbooks.

Personaly, i use the Dell Latitude D430 with the EDP package from http://www.osxlatitude.com, works extremely good and much faster than a netbook and weight/size is about the same

Ho appena installato SnowLeopard v. 10.6.3 su un Asus eeepc 1015PD. Grazie a tutti i contributori dei vari pezzi di informazione trovati qui e altrove confermo il funzionamento di tutte le parti … compresi i tasti funzione per aumentare o diminuire la luminosità del monitor, Sono disponibile a fornire una guida dettagliata sul da farsi.

p.s.: unico neo il ritorno dallo stop non possibile (by passabile comunque con lo sleep enabler). GRAZIE NETOOKINSTALLER!!!!!!!!

How about N455 CPU?
I found no hints on http://osxnetbooks.blogspot.com/ about Netbook Installer. Whatfor is it exactly?
